My Artist's Practice
Short fiction, mostly
In my artist's practice, I write about language, families, and what I think it means to be American. I am inspired by brokenness and the things people do when they disappoint themselves and others. I like my people messy, and my stories center around failure, disaster, sins of omission, and what happens in the space between what we say and what we do.

My most recent work has appeared in such literary journals as Used Furniture ReviewHobart (Web), Bound Off, and Annalemma.
